3/20/2007 New All-in-One LCD Module Series AGM2432D

- AZ Displays, Inc., announces availability of new all-in-one LCD
module series AGM2432D. Part numbers AGM2432D-FLW-FBH-T-05 and
AGM2432D-FLW-FBH-T-06 may be interfaced directly to a customer’s MPU, thanks to
the following built-in components:
1. White LED backlight
2. DC/DC converter for contrast adjustment voltage
3. Touch panel, 4-wire resistive type
4. Touch screen controller IC
5. LCD controller IC

- 4” 240 x 320 resolution LCD
- TAB (tape automation bonding) construction
- Module Size 73.0 (W) x 93.3 (H) x 8.6 (T) mm
- Viewing Area 62.0 (W) x 81.8 (H) mm
- Portrait or landscape orientation modes
- Ultra low power consumption with CMOS LCD drivers
- Monochrome FSTN technology
- Operating temperature -20 C to +70 C, storage temperature -30 C to +80 C
- May be directly interfaced to 68 or 80 types of MPU (selectable by jumpers)
- Sunlight readable (with white LED backlight and transflective polarizer)
AGM2432D series features a built-in LCD controller from RaiO Technology RA8835
that may store up to 160 customer-programmable characters in its internal ROM.
This LSI logic type of IC is different from “drivers”, which only supply
electrical signals to columns and rows of LCD.
AGM2432D-FLW-FBH-T-05 also contains a touch screen controller IC ADS7843 (a
12-bit sampling analog-to-digital touch panel controller from Burr-Brown) and
AGM2432D-FLW-FBH-T-06 has TSC2046 (from Texas Instruments which supports a
low-voltage I/O interface from 1.5V to 5.25V). They are internally interfaced to
the factory assembled 4-wire resistive touch panel, which may be operated with
the touch of a finger or stylus.
