The unusual color effects are achieved by pairing a LCD panel of a certain color (silver, yellow-green, blue, or black) with either yellow-green or white LED backlight. The alternative color combinations allow the display series to be marketed for a broader range of applications including gaming, industrial controls, and medical products.
